Abstract: Isophya amplipennis, I. pavelii and I. tenuicerca inhabit oak scrub, sometimes reaching outbreak proportions and causing severe damage in Turkey, Bulgaria and parts of Rumania. Their distribution, identification, morphology, biology and life-history, natural enemies and control are presented in some detail.
